Motivating Mathematics

I have just received my copy of Motivating Mathematics (2009) by Lee Blake, Jessica Murphy & Ingrid Kemp. MacMillan Education Australia Pty Ltd.

It has over 200 puzzles, covering most of the Mathematics curriculum. The puzzle sheets are well constructed, with plenty of white space. They have clear instructions and are mainly self correcting. I would like to thank the authors for contributing an excellent resource which many teachers will go to when they need extra practice for their students.

What is the level of the puzzles like? For capable students or mediocre or low ability? The MacMillan web-site has no preview.

The puzzles mostly range from VELS 4.0 to 6.0, in other words Years 7 to 10.
